RICE ACTIONS
Its applications as an ingredient, as food and as a symbol are used by the artist to execute a series of activities that involve performance, installation and conceptualism. The rice counting from the Abramović Method, the exhibition of a bag of rice, a questionnaire, a dinner, a conversation.
This is what Diaz Cantoni's work is all about: generating situations that bring something mundane to the field of art philosophy and artistic practice. It doesn't work without the viewer / audience / user / participant. The creation is the experience, the setting where a conversation takes place, an interesting reflection, a different sensation. There, in those tangible and intangible spaces, is where the work of art appears.
