Opposite the bar, Elena Matamoro presents her sound piece, Dreams of Milk, inspired by the 2022 Venice Biennale theme, The Milk of Dreams, itself drawn from surrealist Leonora Carrington's book. Carrington's work imagines a fantastical world where life is endlessly reimagined through the lens of creativity.
Building on Carrington's vision, Matamoro’s work poses the question: what would milk dream, if it could dream? The piece features a zenithal shot of a glass of milk, seemingly alive, pulsating with sound as though telling its own story. A piano serves as the narrator, intertwined with a rich soundscape that brings this dreamlike experience to life.
